I'm SFO-based and recently started a Delta status challenge. Generally flying to east coast, and I'm wondering what is the best hub to pass through for best upgrade chances and least wx (this time of year)?

Lately, I've noticed the most weather warnings related to SLC/ATL.Plus, it sounds like ATL is a very very busy hub. I don't see too much traffic through CVG for routes I am interested in. This would naturally leave MSP/DTW.

Any recommendations?
