I'm not sure where the OP's passport is from, but for many this benefit will likely be moot. The majority of OW carriers (other than BA) use T3, where I believe there's an entirely separate FastTrack of sorts for those holding American, Australian, Canadian, Japanese and New Zealand passports. Since AA, JL and QF all arrive at, and make up a substantial portion of the traffic at, T3 there will be a fair number of people already subject to less scrutiny at immigration. I'd probably rather be on that line (even if it's travelers from all cabins/elite tiers) than on the "special line" right after a flight lands from a country where her majesty deems more scrutiny over those arriving.

Queues in T3 (and all of LHR's terminals) can be a real PITA for non-EU/EEA passport holders.
