This whole new fare structure is a step backwards from a consumer point of view. Disguised in the clothes of 'more choice', in reality it's more pay for less benefits. I think VA may have shot its own foot with this one.

For my next set of flights I'll be switching back to Qantas. Not only they're cheaper (by 33% in a particular case), I get more on board.
