We recently went with a 30 credit Asia pass and usually go to Hong Kong. The biggest pro was cost as it brought AC fares down to UA levels while still getting (almost) 100% status miles without flying UA and transiting the US (a number of our staff need a visa)

The cons are more painful as a flight pass user
  • no upgrades
  • no access to preferred seats
  • no status miles on connecting flights
  • limited access to the required fare bucket

The only con that caught us by surprise was the lack of access to preferred seats. The SE's among us only went for it because we though we'd still get row 18 & 31. With that restriction it is unclear if we will purchase a 2nd one when this one is used up.

If there was a T+ option that was another $100 a credit, I'm sure we would have bought it instead and would have expected us to continue buying them.
