Note, this issue continues though - it is not just a data migration from old to new. I added my number back on the new site and it disappeared again. Best to check before the purchase of each flight to ensure it shows up when you are checking out.
Look on the bright side: at least you just lost (temporarily) your GE number.

For me, it lost the GE number AND mangled my name:

Old (and correct): Mr. Throw Down YourLeavyScreens
New (and mangled): Mr. Throw Down YourLeavyS, creens

where "creens" was treated as a suffix like Jr, III, etc.
