As mentioned rightly above, this is an expensive CX route to pay in cash however it does give you a nice haul of Tier Points (140 each way in J) as a trade-off.

If that is not of interest and you are keen to go to Hong Kong first then Hong Kong Airlines will be cheaper and Garuda Indonesia even cheaper
