Maybe 'Welcome Lounge' might be a better name, though we have the forum dashboard. However it might be nice to have a spot where silly/obvious/repeated (to some of us) questions can be asked without the flames that come up even though the question may be asked time and again. It can feel a little oppressive when, having posted a question, you get back reams of 'read the forum dashboard, that's been asked millions of times, why haven't you searched' etc, when though that may be the case, a simple yes or no is all that's needed, and would probably make people feel less afraid to post.
Think it works on the AA forum because they haven't got the dashboard in the same way, though they do have 'FAQ: American Airlines and AAdvantage - Please check here first!', and the first post in that has a handy guide to finding stuff.

So would be good to have a thread where people can say Hello to the denizens, and the Welcome Lounge could accomplish that too.
