Didn't really see any public transport options at all. (We were really glad we had a car and driver from Delhi with us.) It is about 15-20 km's from the city centre (Sec 10/17/taj/rose garden etc).
The only options I think you would get are those half day 4 hour / 40km or full day 8hr / 80km rental options from a local "tour and transport" company...
