Hi everyone. Wife and I are going on an award travel to Vietnam for 2 weeks and we're in the process of booking domestic flights within vietnam.

We were going to book 2 flights with VN Airlines and 2 other flights with VietJet.

The first flight we booked from hanoi to hue through vn airlines. it took us 3 attempts on the VN airlines website for them to accept our card. we got a confirmation email and are ticketed and good to go. Now we are trying to book a flight from phu quoc to hanoi through VN airlines, but our credit card gets declined.

I called up Chase Sapphire Preferred and tried booking this flight while on the line with the rep from chase. They claim that they don't even see the card attempting to transact, so it seems like VN airlines is declining my card before it even gets verified by chase... Chase also verified t hat I have no holds or anything money, or fraud related that would prevent me from booking this flight. I also repeated this process with another low cost domestic carrier, VietJetAir for other flights (da nang to saigon, and saigon to phu quoc). I stayed on the line with the Chase rep while vietjetair's website flat out denied my credit card.

Has anyone else had trouble booking online with these carriers? What's my alternative? Trying to go through travelocity, the flights are double or triple the price! I also can't seem to call vietjet air through skype, as the number seems tobe blocked. I haven't tried VN Air yet though.


Edit: Well. I found the problem for VN Airlines. They kept defaulting me to Location: Vietnam in their website. once i deleted my cookies and set it to USA it worked fine. but i'm still having problems with vietjet air.
