From Virgin's web site (click on Velocity member reward seat allowances), it looks like you get one 23 kg checked bag on new domestic economy award bookings. The only caveat is that that page doesn't explicitly say it applies to award bookings made by partners. (VA liberalised their checked bag allowances when they switched to Sabre on 13 Jan; it is now only their very cheapest paid fares that don't include baggage, and the premium for a fare that includes a bag without a fee is typically only $10-$40.)
