MicroPlace - Alternative to Kiva - Long Term Points Investing

Anybody have any experience with Microplace? It is owned by eBay and you can use Paypal to fund the investments. It works the same as Kiva but instead, you get little interest from 0.5% to 4.5%, depending on how long the investment is. I checked and found some investments ending December 2013 for 0.5% interest.

You can earn a 0.5 to 4.5% return on your investments, which mature in 3 months to 5 years. Interest will be paid quarterly or as otherwise noted and the principal is repaid at maturity. The minimum you can invest is $20.00.

1. How do I pay for my investments on MicroPlace?
You can use your PayPal account or have funds electronically debited from your bank account.

You can use your credit card or Visa gift card to fund the investment through Paypal. It seems like a pretty good long-term points investment. If you can afford to float some money around, it could be worthwhile. I am not too sure about the legitmacy of the company. Anybody have any experience?
