Man, thought all the conversions were over and figured looking last night everything is good to go.
Yeah, I know we aren't guarantee squat, but seems such a fitting end to my last flight on UA I am spending money on..lol. Oh yeah, 1K line (oh I mean premier desk) offered no solutions and had an "oh well" attitude to my asking for any help.
Oh well, I'm still going to Maui

What, no Dreamliner on such a long and (future) thin route?
Reminds of that time when UA brought back a 744 from the desert in old J on e upper deck, maybe two years ago. It was surreal sitting up there at SFO, like time travel back to 2003, a very nice day trip down memory lane, but that's just my opinion.
Conversions are not over yet, maybe they are too busy removing F from the PS birds.
I would try to call back and see if I can find a sympathetic agent for a re-reroute, 10 hours in old J is harsh once you've experienced flat beds, or the IFE for that matter.
If that doesn't work try reroute via LX J ZRH-LAX/SFO-OGG for a much more pleasant flight, even tough it's got the old LX J since it's a 343, but the single J seats are superb and service is about 30 years ahead of CO dba UA.
