Completed my stay here last week. Had booked 2 rooms for 2 nights. Was traveling with elderly relatives and had requested adjoining rooms (and my usual high floor request) thru my ambassador as I needed to assist them at various stages during the stay.

- The two rooms allocated were on the 2nd floor. The hotel has 5 floors. High floor request ignored.
- The rooms given were far from adjoining. Infact they were at entirely opposite ends of the corridor! And this despite very low occupancy.
- A mention of Platinum amenity options was met with a blank stare. The front desk agent had no clue of this concept itself.
- Swimming pool changing rooms were under construction and inaccessible.
- Spa was still not open.
- The breakfast was fine, but the pastries in the buffet were put in the open and had multiple flies hovering above them.
- Internet speed, as previously noted, was still horrendous at most times.

All in all a very very average stay. And this despite having specifically raised two very simple (adjoining rooms, high floor) requests thru my Ambassador. And I double checked with the ambassador before the stay and he stated he had passed on the adjoining room requests to the hotel.

Oh and the stay posted incorrectly too with just 2 nights credit as opposed to 4.

I'll probably be returning to the Taj for subsequent stays in this city. No comparison between the two properties whatsoever.
