Amanpulo had a similar person dedicated to guests in the casitas - but the execution was not nearly as good. Your allocated person was as likely to be unavailable as not and you ended up dealing with whoever answered the phone at reception anyway.
I found the fact that whoever answered the phone at Amanpulo seemed to be fully briefed about us, preferences and activities or issues and able to solve things for us WITHOUT having to call for or ask anyone else to be brilliant.
