Unfortunately, all I can do is apologize for the bad experience on that, mogme2010. There's no excuse for a less than sympathetic attitude, but sometimes a lack of alternate vehicle availability can't be helped.

On a positive note for some others on this thread, I'm told that hertz.com has been changed so that you can now view same day reservations.
