Yeah, I called the FA out saying that the flight next to us is pushing back. He said that it was the pilot that made the UAX ground stop claim and said that he even thought that was quite strange.
It seems to be either a UAX ground stop into Chicago or all UA stopped into Chicago because of the weather. They are obviously lacking information as much as we are.
No matter what, I am terminating in Chicago, so whatever. Would have been cool to spend a few more hours in Austin, not in the airport/plane but such is life. (Or I should say, how dare UA for not controlling the weather and delaying me.

Is it perhaps just a groundstop for an individual regional airline's flights? Like all SkyWest flights or all ExpressJet? It's seems highly unlikely there'd ever be a full UX only groundstop.
