Discover lost its wallet space years ago. 1/4% on the first $3,000 is pretty pitiful. And spend in the revolving 5% category doesn't count towards the $3,000. So I only drug the card out for the 5%. Since they systematically stiffed me on the 5%, it was time to call it quits. Mayhap, enough lost market share will wake them up.
FYI, for anyone else with a Discover More card (I assume that was your card), you can swap it out for a Discover IT card instantly by messaging Discover, no credit pull required. The newer IT card is basically identical to the More except that there's no $3000 cap (it's always 1% outside of the 5% categories, just like Freedom).
