I will never cancel my Discover card, as long as it remains free, no matter what they do. I can ignore is as much as I want, but given that it's the card with deaces (rather than just a few years) of credit history on my aco...., it seems prudent to just keep there for the rest of my life. (It's hard to be sure which of my other cards I've gotten recently I'll keep for decades.)
Exactly my thought too.
I rarely use Discover... but I have a large credit line, and its one of my oldest TL's.
Its in the drawer 99% of the time, but when there's no annual fee on the card, I dont see a reason to cancel.
