You can book in Italy without any problems rooms for more than three persons. For example a family room for four at the sheraton padova...

In Austria I know some suites which will fit four or more persons. Near Salzburg is the Sheraton Fuschlsee Jagdhof with a two bedroom suite. There is also another room on this floor, both together will fit probably even 8 people and you will get this floor for your family alone...
