As the food on my last intercont Y flights was rather disappointing and I have the next intercont flight coming soon I wonder whether it might be worth to order a special meal. I wouldn't do that for any religious or health related reasons but to get away from the "chicken or pasta". Does anyone have any experience whether the let's say gluten free or lactose free meals are better than the standard meals in terms of quantity, quality, taste and so? Or is there no sense in ordering a special meal if you do not really require it?
