I flew SAN -> IAH on Tuesday of this week and they took the order front to back but then proceeded to bring out the food based on status level. I was in 2B and am a 1k but several people in rows 4, 5, and 6 got their food before me. I could hear the FAs up front talking about who was a 1k etc. I imagine the other higher 1k/GS people were served before me.
