I would say me too (some on here will disagree), but I'll only get up a couple of times max if I'm not in an aisle seat so I don't irritate whoever is in the aisle seat. If I'm in an aisle seat I'll go get things myself unless the seat belt light is on. We have a family friend (she died a few years ago) who developed DVT on a flight and was never able to fly again and had other complications arise. I think it tend to make you more aware of these things as a result. I'd never drink alcohol on a flight, for example, (despite EK's open bar policy) due to the dehydrating effect.

For me the important things on a flight are drinking water and keeping on the move. Doesn't help that security still won't allow water bottles, because being able to take one with you (or buy one that isn't ridiculously priced in the airport) would probably mean I'd never need to bother cabin crew.

But I have no patience with CC providing differential service on different sectors. It where professional behaviour must be enforced. It's managements job to make sure that this does not happen by cracking down heavily n CCs that cannot cope with perceived or real " difficult" sectors.
Absolutely agree with this. I know some are critical of my post and some responses have made me realise the title "worst flight ever" is probably over the top but that should tell you how highly I regarded Emirates. For me they were the gold standard until I experienced this flight and it was effectively endorsed by a poor response from customer relations who effectively dismissed my complaint as nonsense.

Just as a point of interest... how many EK Y flights have you taken in total, and how many QR Y (who you were comparing EK with)?
I've made two return journeys with EK Y (6 individual flights) and one return with QR Y (4 individual flights). I see what you're getting at and it's a valid point.
