I have had a $150 a night stay at a Copthorne a while ago told that it wasn't eligible to earn Airpoints. It was clearly stated in my booking that it was a rack rate. When I questioned them if rack rates don't qualify what does, they credited my points on the same day.

My experience is only Hilton, IHG, Starwood and Langham stays credit automatically among Airpoints hotel partners.
