There are other types of no Sat night stay fares on transborder routes.

Take YVR-BOS as example -

These online fares are 30% of full Y.

There is a no Sat night stay + 1 day min stay @ 65% of full Y.

No one is forcing you to fly AC, if HP is so appealing to you, try flying them with all the connections and see how well it works.
