ScottC, you might have missed it (too much tech news to follow everything) but as part of the merger cancellation agreement T-mobile now has access to AT&T's 1900mhz spectrum. They are rolling out tower upgrades now. I use an AT&T unlocked iPhone in NJ on T-mobile and I get mostly 3G now, with the occasional sector with EDGE. Certainly within 6 months or so I think they will have most urban areas in the USA covered on AT&T frequencies, which means all the world standard devices will work with BOTH AT&T and T-mobile on 3G and 4G. Very good for those of us who travel worldwide and were stuck with AT&T in the past!
