My vote goes to the W as well. Just stayed there over xmas and everything went smooth. It takes no time from the airport to the hotel. And on the return you can check in for your flight right at the Airport Express in Kowloon. The mall is easy to navigate through, and plenty of signage to direct you to the W in no time. Staff was friendly and willing to help in any situation.
If you plan to explore the city a bit you can either take the hotel shuttle to the harbor or take the subway to HKG island. Plus cabs are dirt cheap, I think I paid 28 HKG from the Star Ferry Pier to the W.
