My Travels took me to Phoenix this week. During my free time I started scouting the local WG and CVS stores in the area. Much to my surprise, the CVS stores are pulling VRs from the rack. Not sure if this is store by store, region actionl or national, but the writing is on the wall. As for WG, it appears they have completed the register updates for all stores allowing cash purchase only. I have talked to the managers when I get an opportunity and ask them 'why would anyone pay cash to purchase a card with a free to load a prepaid card, why not skip the card altogether and load the card with cash for free. The all agree it's a dumb policy and they haven't sold a single VR card since the cash only policy was implemented
