1. AA does not begin to release award seats until 331 days before departure. Whether MileSAAver seats on a particular flight will become available at 331 days before departure is another matter.

2. The aa.com website does not require a log-in to check award-seat availability. Even those without an AAdvantage account can check award-seat availability on aa.com.

3. The ba.com website often has trouble displaying award-seat availability on itineraries involving connecting flights on AA. Find MileSAAver availability on aa.com first, then look for it on ba.com, searching for each individual flight if the connecting itinerary does not show up.
