Had this happened to me, even with the very good relationship I have had with BA over the past 5 years and that they tend to look after me very well, that would have meant a stern Good Bye and change of preferred carrier.
Scandalous is about right.
If you have never been at the receiving end of a BA meltdown then you are lucky.
Whilst having every sympathy with those stuck on board for 7 hours I venture it was better on a long haul aircraft rather than an A320. They did it to me twice in one weekend and then walked away when they cancelled the flight I had sat on for over 5 hours with no food or drink.
BA in this regard are a pretty shabby outfit.
