Just for reference, I called United (I booked an NH award flight from SJC-NRT in business using United miles, Saver business) and they said they have to charge change fees + add'l 90k miles on top of 60k I already used to change my flight onto the United flight from SFO-NRT. Or I could go economy for the change fee + 5k add'l miles, ummmmm no)

So I have to wait until my flight actually gets cancelled and HOPE AND PRAY there are still seats in business on my flight. I am not hopeful that by mid-Feb that this issue will be resolved.

I guess I could still give ANA a call to see if they're more helpful.....
