Service I found to be very good, but some of the rooms are small! My room (which was refurbished) was very cramped (even by London standards) to such an extent that you really couldn't get the breakfast trolley into the room. This may have been because the room was at the end of a corridor by the emergency exit and the stairwell may have taken room space (i was told it was an upgrade).
Views from the rooms will be good, particularly if you're on a high floor. Room Service breakfast whilst not cheap can be good value. When I was there it allowed you to order as much as you like for one price - several juices, cereals, danish, fry up, tea and coffee - so if there is more than one of you it's quite easy to create a feast - check first though!
Location is good if Park Lane's your thing, I think there are better locations personally.
Would I stay there again, probably not. Nothing wrong with the place but similarly nothing too special. If you're after a cheapish 5 star I'd probably investigate Priceline's Name Your Own Price or Hotwire. Alternatively there are a few very good 4 star hotels in London - my favourite used to be the City Inn in Westminster (changed its name to the Mint and then came in under the Hilton brand as the Doubletree). Things may have changed since I last stayed there (when it was a City Inn), but you got an Apple Mac in the room, free movies, cooked to order breakfast, decent bar on site - close to Houses of Parliament
Hello!
First of all, thank you for your response regarding the hotel.
I know 250£ is not that much for London but personally i try not to pay more than 150£ for a night in London. However, this time is little more special and i can put myself to 250-300£ for the night this time.
Usually i stay in London at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge (don´t know if you heard about it?)
I like it there but i would like to try something else this time.
Which hotel would you recommend if the maximum price is 250-300£ for a night?
I have HHonors Gold, Le Club Platinum and Club Carlson Gold.
Try Mandarin Oriental instead! Skip the Hiltons.
It is 550£ / night for my date, a little bit to much for me.
Thanks for the tip anyway, maybe i can try it when they run a campaign or something.
