This is true -- not only that, this is for mixed bookings (arriving into SJC and departing from SFO or vice versa) and codeshares are excluded.
That being said, given the circumstances NH *may* provide some kind of compensation for a transfer from SFO to SJC for those passengers who were rebooked. I recommend that anyone who might be affected proactively contact NH to confirm this.
