I have an iPad, a Galaxy S3, a wifi connected Roku and Tivo all connected to the same network and this is the first time this has happened. I can actually see the laptop lose the connection when I connect the Nexus tablet. When I try to connect, the laptop just resets the network adapter but it still doesn't connect.

There must be an ip conflict? I'm not well versed in these types of issues. Can anyone help me out?
Check the router settings. Sometimes there is a limit on how many devices can be connected. If in your case it is 5, connecting a 6th device will knock off one of the others. If this is the problem, the limit can be raised. You should be able to access the router settings via a web address.
