Quince for me. I have been here about 5-6 times over the past few years, but they've really stepped up their game. They aren't the restaurant that they used to be in their old location. They are really gunning to be a michelin 3 star, you can tell. The food is exquisite, the service is impeccable, and the experience is fantastic every time.

I ate here 3 times this year, and each time, it is very impressive.
Been to State Bird Provisions, and it's excellent, but not a great dining 'experience'. French Laundry is a total rip-off, I agree. Still haven't been to Scomas, despite having been in San Francisco for over 20 years, nor have any of my colleagues or friends in SF (wonder why...

). The only people whom I know who have gone to Scomas are out of town guests. Also been to Masa's, Gary Danko, Fleur de Lys, La Folie, Michael Mina, but Quince really rises above them all.
