This route is showing as under 900 miles. Certainly well less than the RJ threshold on UA, as there are flights scheduled all the time > 1000 miles on E45s. I've been on a DEN-CVG flight on that aircraft. Certainly less than ideal, but not odd on PMCO or new UA. There's a whole thread on this.
