Thanks for the superb advice. He's now leaning towards the L'Hotel, where he was offered a "chic" deluxe room for EUR 440/night. Remember, this is a stay in May for a couple celebrating a 10th anniversary, and they are seeking a romantic place that has a classic rather than contemporary feel. Need not be top-of-the-line luxury, but needs to be very nice at a great value. Thoughts on how the L'Hotel might compare to the IC Le Grand, relative to the prices quoted? Sorry for being a newbie here.... trying to help him out.
