Not a problem with "overheating", but cooling.

On 90% of flights, when we land, we put the window blinds down throughout the cabin, this is to stop the sunlight warming the cabin as it comes thorough the windows, and to try and keep the temperature down whilst the aircraft sits on the ground for X number of hours... Of course, sometimes it is not required, but it is sort of a habitual thing now.

If you ever get on the aircraft and see this has been done, it is nothing to do with wanting people to have the blinds closed, and they can be opened without issue.
