Hi,

No it wasn't the case here because Delta never offer any itinerary with Jet long haul in a round trip.He might have taken DL on the long haul and then Jet connect within India. As jet have e ticket agreement with AI and DL, it was forced on 9w ticket stock.That's what Amadeus logic is

These are falsely issued tickets by many travel agents to people traveling to HYD or MAA. I am not racist,however i have seen people traveling to these places in India ( mostly ), would even take 5 connections to save $50.00.

Usually Delta tickets would cost around $1300 - $1500, by plating on 9W it could be anywhere from $850 - $1100.But,if the check in agent might have found the error, the OP would have been fighting against the money with the TA. There is a thin line between least expensive and cheap
