Yes, seems to vary a bit by pump - some accept 00000 and 90210, haven't tried numbers from my postcode plus 0s. Had a couple that wouldn't accept any numbers where I had to go inside (and guesstimate how much fuel I'd need which I found a bit weird!)
lol I had to do that once. I've never not had the turning your post code into zip code not work.
For example with my method you would change NR12 5BT into 12500 or IP09 LH2 would be 09200.
