Basically, the PH is the only real luxury hotel in Sydney, at least according to the folks who know in the luxury hotel forum. Those people are down on the FS or the Observatory, for example.
Whether it's 'miles better' or not will probably in large part depend on how important a more luxurious hotel experience is to you personally. For me, it's a big deal; for you, maybe not.
