As a DM and DL Amex cardholder, I can "survive" the change. That said, this is my first year as an EXP (mostly earned it...needed about 1500 EQM of the DEQM offer in November).

As I look at bookings, and see how the EXPerience goes with respect to customer service, lounges, etc., I'll decide what to do come January 1, 2014 when the MQD comes into effect. With LHR as my "home" airport and flying BA shorthaul 1x a month or so, it made sense for me to at least earn Plat on AA.

I'm sure some will match to EXP, find they like it, and stay...others will remain DMs or perhaps go with UA.
