Now this is exactly what this Thread is about. These strange side-conversations about 'pink sausages', 'Bears', 'MUCCI' etc etc. It can be very disconcerting to a newbie, feeling that they are entering some strange society [no argument so far] where they are never going to fit in.

It can be very scary, and I completely understand that. It took me ages to discover HIDDY's pink sausage, and I understand his concern on that occasion. And I found it, and all the other 'in-jokes' in time: I didn't t need them spoon-fed to me: I followed the story-line, and understood. I do accept, however, it does, take a wee while to absorb the undercurrents, and the banter. But isn't that just like real life?

I suppose we could all just focus on things that really matter.

I feel, genuinely, that this Forum is really inclusive and informative, and genuinely without being stuck up its fundament. It has information, humo[u]r and Corporate wisdom - what more could anyone want?

It's British, of course - that may alienate or confuse some of our 'foreign friends' - but it's British, dammit.
Just like Marmite, you love it or hate it. Occasionally bizarre, always entertaining, reliably informative … all you have to do is dive in.
