I have been traveling a ton of long haul flights lately. I have noticed, when the captain announces 20-30 min from arrival I see lots of ppl making there way to the bathrooms. It gives them plenty of time to brush their teeth and fix their hair, etc.... 30 never seems to be 30. I ultimately think it's a nice way to say, " for those of you wanting to use the restrooms, knock it out now, so we don't have any issues upon landing" when that DING goes, mad rush. Lol
They are called "sheeple", and thus lack any awareness and merely react to instructions from the Big Dog at the front.
I suspect that airline Captains have more to concern themselves about that doing "potty calls" for sentient adults.
