Just stayed here for the NYE weekend.
I have stayed ~250 nights in startwood properties (about to make life time gold soon ). This was my first stay here. I thought I should mention a couple of things about this hotel.

Bad Stuff:
1. This hotel charges CAD 30 per night if you request a microwave. This is a charge that I have never seen in any starwood property that I have stayed at. For that matter, not in a hilton property either. My wife was sick with severe flu for the entire duration of the stay. So, I ended up paying for the microwave without a second thought. Before anyone questions as to why I was traveling with a sick wife, please note that she got flu 24 hours after reaching Toronto. And the infection got worse progressively.

2. The complementary breakfast for plats is served from a coffee / snack bar where one has a limited choice of items. This was definitely below par from my experience at other properties including those in NYC. I am not complaining as I believe complementary breakfast is a privilege and not a right that I should abuse. Just something to note.

Overall, the experience and the ambiance were below average of what I have come to experience at other westins.

Good Stuff
I did mention the above two points in my online survey after the stay. Then, the Customer experience manager from this hotel contacted me by email and expressed her apologies for my experience. She offered to credit the microwave charge back to my CC which showed up in a weeks time on my CC.
