Hmm...interesting idea!

I don't see why not... As long as it's within carry-on size/weight parameters, an air mattress should be fine since it has no liquid or sharp/dangerous components.

That'd be a hilarious camera shot, though! The news camera pans across the airport floor...people napping on benches, sleeping on airport cots, then there's you in the corner with your queen sized double-cushioned air mattress with sheets and blankets.
