Have to second that advice! LH B744 is horrible unless you are on the upper deck Airbus Y at window feels "bigger" even though it really isn't...just subjective - maybe curvature of walls? Bulkheads provide the most legroom, but difficult to get if non-status on AC. I like LX service mostly. LH Y service has been rushed and "cold" on the big birds in my experience (intra Europe is better IMO). AC seems better in Y overall (more laid back FAs). LX/LH service is better if in J though.
