@A2A: This was my return journey, I had a jet connection on my onward journey and i suppose that's why i have a 589 ticket number

@Keyser: I bought the ticket from an agent. Does that help my case though?

@Often1: I will go with your suggestion and call up DL customer service and discuss it with them. As you said they are at least responsive.

Is there a way to formally complaint against these airlines especially when the rules and policies are not clear and also that either airline are at liberty to charge their fees. Has anyone done this before? Any help or directions appreciated.
