Apologies if this should be in another thread. I have 13,000 expired miles from United Mileage Plus that I would like to transfer over to TK Miles & Smiles. I currently have about 20,000 in M&S.

I would need to pay $50 to reactivate the expired United miles. And there are some restrictions:

- Purchase up to the total amount that had expired (only miles expired in the last 18 months are eligible)
- Credit card will be billed immediately for purchase
- Mileage rates and other applicable fees are subject to change
- Miles are available up to the total amount that has expired
- Allow 72 hours for miles to process and post to your MileagePlus account
- Transaction is non-refundable
- Miles do not count towards Premier status
- All MileagePlus Program Rules and terms and conditions apply

Having said that, know very little about frequent flier programs. If I pay to reactivate my United miles, would I be able to transfer them over to TK? And if so, would I be able to qualify for status with those miles?
