Anything DL coded is qualifying. Select partner carriers on DL (006) ticket stock can be qualifying.

There may be some high mileage but low spending elites who will not, starting with qualifying from 1/1/2014, make top elite status. A hypothetical T-fare, six times a year, NYC-ATL-NRT-SIN and return at $1098/ticket would have the miles to be Diamond but only get Gold under the new rules. Whether there really is a sizable population of such travelers, and whether they move to AS MP or away from flying Delta, remains to be seen.
