Hi,

Recently i travelled from Hyderabad to Minneapolis -MSP (stops at Delhi and Amsterdam) via AI and Delta. My flight from HYD - DEL was on Air India and from DEL -AMS and AMS - MSP was on Delta. I had one extra bag with me.

At Hyderabad airport AI staff asked me to pay excess baggage fees and they charged me (25 kgs * 269 Rs) + tax = 7000 Rs. At Delhi airport i was asked to pay again by Delta staff, this time it was $75 ( 4150 Rs). When i asked Delta staff at Delhi they said since they are the over the sea carrier their baggage policy would apply and AI should not have charged me in the first place.

Do we ever pay baggage fees twice? I have never paid or heard anybody pay baggage fees twice for one single through ticket. Another question is can i hope to get a refund back from AI, if yes can anyone here point me to the right channel.
